We are so fortunate to be so close to Balboa Park and have wonderful museums to learn from and a beautiful park to take photographs. On Thursdays, the Photography Department will be in the field. Please remember to dress for our walks. Wear good shoes (no flip flops, please), bring a light jacket or sweatshirt in case it gets cold, a water bottle and snack, a hat (or wear sunscreen). And don’t forget to bring your camera all charged up and ready to go. You may also bring some extra batteries if you think you might need them.
1st Thursday- Museum of Photographic Arts
2nd Thursday- San Diego Museum of Natural History (we will only have time to visit the photo galleries)
3rd Thursday- San Diego Historical Society
4th Thursday- MOPA -Behind the Scenes Tour
The 5th Thursday is Presentation Day.
Students should be downloading their pictures at home, reviewing and evaluating their work, then putting their best photographs on a jumpdrive to bring back to class.
