Dear Parents,
In our Marine Science Department Unit we will be studying the ocean as a system, and some of the ocean inhabitants. We would really appreciate any artifacts that you might be able to send to school, such as various kinds of seashells, dried starfish or sea horses, seaweed, etc.
In addition we would appreciate a donation of specimens that we could use for our study. Please check the items that you might be able to provide us so that we can plan for them:
___Whole fish with scales and internal organs intact (no catfish)
___10 small fresh squid -internal organs intact
___or 10 small octopi -internal organs intact
___~20 fresh clams or mussels in their shells
(*These may be freshly caught and frozen if you are a fisherman or if you know a fisherman, or something you could help us pick up from a local fish market. This would be very helpful!)

___package of plastic forks and spoons
