Earth Science Department with Gingerlily
No matter where we live, how we live, our differences or similarity in beliefs and culture, the earth is what we all have in common.
In this department we will be digging into Earth Science to learn about this “third rock from the Sun” and see our place in the universe. Students will be introduced to geology and address some earth systems such as the water cycle and rock cycle. We will explore earth’s make-up, its changing landscape and tectonics, and discuss the resources that are here on our planet.
We will contemplate how our planet’s ancient, immense, but ultimately limited resources define our “spaceship” Earth, and how the choices we make today affect the survival of our species in the future.
