The red tide is here in San Diego!
If you have a chance this weekend, take the kids out for a treat and walk on a dark beach. The moon is just a crescent, so you’ll be able to see the florescence very well. Look out at the crashing waves and you’ll see them glow green. Then look down at your footsteps and you will see your green footprints in the sand.
When you go home have your child research bioluminescence and the red tide to find out what is happening.
